Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the SubRadar mobile application (the “App”), provided by the developer (“we”, “us”), collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We designed the App to work without an account and without collecting your name, email address, or other directly identifying personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We do not ask you to register or sign in. We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location. The limited data we do process is:

• Anonymous device identifier. When the App first launches it creates an anonymous identifier through Firebase Anonymous Authentication and an analytics device identifier through AppMetricKit. These identifiers are random values tied to the app installation, not to you personally, and let us measure usage and attribute installs without knowing who you are.
• Usage and diagnostic data. Basic events (for example, screens viewed, features used, and whether a purchase flow was started or completed), together with technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and coarse country/region derived from your IP address at the moment of a request. We do not store your IP address as part of your usage profile.
• Purchase and subscription data. If you buy a subscription or other in-app purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We receive a purchase/subscription status and an anonymous transaction identifier so we can unlock features and validate the receipt. We never see or store your credit card or Apple ID credentials.

2. How We Use This Information

• To operate the App and unlock features you have purchased.
• To understand which features are used so we can fix problems and improve the App.
• To measure the performance of our marketing (install attribution) in aggregate.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.

3. Third-Party Services (Processors)

We share the limited data above with the service providers that help us run the App. Each acts as our processor and under its own privacy terms:

3a. Gmail Access (Mail Scan)

SubRadar offers an optional feature called Mail Scan that finds subscription receipts in your Gmail inbox so you can add those subscriptions to the App with one tap. Mail Scan is off by default and only runs after you explicitly connect a Google Account through Google's sign-in flow.

• What we access. With your permission the App uses the read-only Gmail scope (gmail.readonly) to search for billing and receipt emails and reads only message metadata (sender, subject, date) and, for matched receipts, the charged amount. The App requests the minimum data necessary and never modifies, sends, or deletes email.
• Where it is processed. Your device connects to Google's Gmail API directly. All parsing happens on your iPhone. Email content, message metadata, and scan results are never sent to us or to any third party — we operate no server that can see your mail.
• What is stored. Google sign-in tokens are stored only in your device's Keychain. Detected subscription candidates exist only on screen until you confirm them; only the subscriptions you choose to import (service name, price, renewal date, category) are saved to the App's local database on your device. Message identifiers and contents are discarded after the scan.
• Your control. You can disconnect Gmail at any time in the App's Settings, which deletes the stored tokens on the device. You can also revoke the App's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• No other use. Gmail data is used solely to surface subscription candidates for you to confirm. It is never used for advertising, never read by a human, never sold, and never transferred to anyone.

SubRadar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Retention

We keep anonymous usage and purchase-status data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, and then delete or aggregate it. Purchase records may be retained longer where required for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.

5. How to Request Deletion

Because the App does not hold an account or any directly identifying information, the simplest way to remove the anonymous identifiers associated with your installation is to delete the App from your device. If you would like us to delete the anonymous analytics data associated with your installation, email us at subradar-support@googlegroups.com and we will process your request. Purchases are managed by Apple; refunds are requested through Apple.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. International Users

Our processors may store and process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete data about you and to object to certain processing. Because we hold only anonymous data, we may need you to provide the identifier from your installation to act on a request. Contact us to exercise any right.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
